Ellen Jaffe Jones


Ellen Jaffe Jones is a former Emmy-winning TV investigative/consumer reporter from Miami and St. Louis. Her mom, aunt and both sisters had breast cancer. She’s the only adult female without, which inspired her to write 6 vegan health and fitness books.

She’s currently a nationally ranked sprinter…the only woman in her 70-74 age group to have competed in all 7 track events at the recent National Senior Games…and she placed in 3 of them. She’s placed n 257 5K or longer races for her age group since 2006 “just” on plants.

A certified running coach and personal trainer, she’s been a professional speaker since her first book took off in 2011, Eat Vegan on $4 a Day. Other titles include Vegan Sex, Vegan Fitness for Mortals and Vegan for One, among others. She’s a fitness instructor at LA Fitness and a food and fitness instructor for Get Set Up, the largest online platform of free classes for those over 55. When she’s not racing on the beaches of southwest Florida, she helps clients buy and sell real estate there.
